Spruce is a real gem within Green Gables. It is built in the 19th-Century log cabin style typical of the area, with a high peaked ceiling and large wooden beams for every wall. The building was completely renovated in 2021, and has been transformed into a light-filled, one-of-kind home with a private entrance; a peaceful and romantic retreat suitable for couples of all ages. Everything you’ll need has been provided within its luxurious open-plan concept, which reflects Ephraim’s Nordic heritage in its iconic rich color palette and decorative touches.
There is a full kitchen and dining area, casual and well-appointed seating areas, a large TV above a gas fireplace (with remote control), and a king-sized bed with luxury linens. Local and original artwork adds even more visual appeal. An oversized log bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the vacation home. Three large windows and a sliding patio door look out onto the neighboring woods, or towards the newly-planted Hawthorns, Fringetrees, or the native perennials growing in raised rock gardens.
In May-June, an astounding 8,000(!) daffodil and allium bulbs will further add a spectacular display, and later in the season, your private raised deck will be a great place to relax outside in the evenings.
The Spruce Retreat sleeps 2. (We may occasionally approve requests for a higher number of guests but by special arrangement only).
